La Pecora Bianca

One of my favorite restaurants is La Pecora Bianca, located at 54 Prince St, New York, NY 10012. They have many locations around the city, but my favorite is the one in SOHO because of its modern yet homey diner feel. They serve Italian cuisine, and the menu is filled with classics such as spaghetti in Pomodoro sauce, rigatoni in vodka sauce, and cacio e pepe. But they also have more elevated and modern spins on the classics, such as the "linguine Nere," squid ink pasta with shrimp, tomato, fennel, and Calabrian chili. My favorite dishes, which I ensure I get every time, are the rigatoni in vodka sauce, crispy calamari, and whipped ricotta with truffle honey and toast. Although this sounds like a lot to eat in one sitting, the meals are portioned well so that you can consume an appetizer, a main dish, and maybe even dessert. If you are in the mood for dessert, you guys need to know that they are well known for their delicious and adorable tiramisu cake. Everything served at this restaurant is extremely rich in flavor, very well-crafted, and delectable. The ambiance further enhances your experience because it initially feels very modern and bright, but once you get comfortable, it feels like an old-school mom-and-pop diner. I suggest going in the daytime as it becomes more packed at night and harder to get a table. But I promise once you go, it will become a favorite.
