After conducting my interview with my guest, I was left surprised. I always heard that being a immigrant is hard and whatnot but unless you take the time to hear the stories of how people came here and became established, you can't truly grasp the struggle. We think that we have it bad as people born here but our "struggles" don't even compare with the struggles of getting to a foreign country and becoming successful. I feel as if everyone should talk to an immigrant, learn their story, and put themselves in their shoes. Doing this will give you a whole different perspective on what struggle really is, and will make your current problems that you are facing minute in comparison, and in that sense will help you realize how blessed you really are.
Hi Ryan :) great post ! I love how you point out the struggles that immigrants have to go through. As an immigrant myself I did went through a lot, it is very hard leave your home country and literally starts from zero, not only that but learning a new language was one of the things I struggled the most. With that being said I totally agree with your idea that our "problems" become smaller when we put ourselves in an immigrant perspective.
