Reflection.

The reason why I decided to interview this person was because I was always curious to know what the situation was of being able to get here. I say this because every situation is different some people leave by boat or plane, their parents did their papers or even get married. I was thinking that this person got married but they weren't which really shocked me because in the Dominican Republic half of the stories that you hear about how they came to The United States are about getting married. Some people get married because of love and because their partner was born in the United States and there are some that turn this into a business where it costs thousands of dollars. Is sad to hear the number of things people do to come to the U.S. which contains working really hard, and sometimes having to sell important things that are valuable to you because you know how much is worth and how it may benefit during your journey.

Last but not least during this interview it was sad knowing the reason why they are in The United States. The reason I say this is because the reasoning was really heartbreaking but at the same time It had to be done at that point. On the other hand, there were many good things that happened to this person along the way living in the U.S. This immigrant imagined their lifestyle the same way they dreamed about it which is amazing because sometimes people have horrible life experiences here that sometimes they wished they never even came over here. But this interview was very powerful and it made me understand why I could never complain about the way I live.
