A story of a small-town girl who dreamt of big dreams in the USA while Dreaming of Europe, for a better tomorrow for her children and family. Leaving a big piece of her heart behind and facing life from a different point of view, not knowing where it will lead and take her. What got her through difficult experiences and holding on to faith, hope, and love with all she had was a prayer to the lord and Savior Sacred Heart of Jesus.
From the interview I have learned a different side of my history and also a different part of generations where life was more simple. Throughout time it seems that immigration regulations and policies have changed for the better or worst at times due to our history. Seems like back in the day 80s and '90's immigration was more accepting and less hectic. A lot surprised me due to how easy everything was compared to how things are now in our legal system, seems a bit more sketchy and all over the place. However, it made me think of some of the readings and thought of statistics throughout time. I can say some of the readings may have a point to an extent and some can demonstrate incorrect information.
It has brought some thought of how immigration was conveyed in the early-mid 1900's and after all the Statue of Liberty represents freedom and justice for all.

I think back in the 90s it was very different then how it is now. And the reason why I say that is because, people have been struggling to come into the United States and try to make a better living for their families and for themselves. but in the 2000s the rate of immigrants have went up then it was in the 90s.
